Volkswagen Plant

Volkswagen awarded the mechanical packages for their new automotive plant under construction in Chattanooga to W.J. O’Neil Company. The contract includes the piping system that will deliver gas, air, chilled water, hot water, and steam throughout the plant, including the Assembly, Body and Paint buildings.

The piping – which will include stainless, high-pressure gas, and heavy industrial process piping – is being fabricated in our fab shop in Chattanooga. This state-of-the-art facility gives us tremendous flexibility. By fabricating in house costs and schedules are controlled, and safety and quality are maximized.

The project is scheduled for completion in August 2010.
