OSHA - W.J. O'Neil Company knows the importance of keeping our workers safe within the work environment.
We make sure that we adhere to all federal, state and local regulations mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). On staff, we have a full time safety
officer, April Harmer, a fully trained and certified paramedic.
Ms. Harmer ensures that all supervisors in the field are fully trained and tested in our facility using
interactive CD modules. This up-to-date training makes our staff and personnel as knowledgeable as possible about some of the potential hazards that can occur within the job
site. Some of the safety issues our training is concerned with includes: fire prevention, excavations, welding and burning, industrial hygiene, occupational health, motorized
vehicles and mechanized equipment.
Testing and Training - All supervision in the field are fully trained and tested in our facility on interactive CD modules. All training is up to date and employee led. The accident prevention
program coordinates training seminars and safety meetings and covers topics concerning safety inspections, variances, subcontractor and state-operated compliances, confined space entry
permits, and more important subjects.
